C-BASS VS.
THE ABSENT PLOT
Rick and Flux, the original Robot Co-Op dream team, reunite for the first time since their iconic Countdown Vampires stream to take on The Evil Within! Directed by Shinji Mikami, the mastermind behind Resident Evil 4, this survival horror title is packed with relentless gore, bizarre enemies, and plenty of atmosphere—but it’s noticeably short on plot, logic, or, arguably, fun.
Rick takes the lead, doing his best to navigate the game’s barely-there story and over-the-top set pieces, while Flux delivers biting commentary about the nonsensical plot twists and questionable mechanics. From grotesque monsters that seem more random than terrifying to gameplay sequences that feel more frustrating than thrilling, the duo dives headfirst into the madness and tears it apart with their signature wit.
It’s a nostalgic throwback to their roots, filled with hilarious banter, plenty of roasts, and a shared determination to figure out just what The Evil Within is trying to accomplish. Whether you’re here for the horror vibes or just to laugh at the absurdity, this stream is a must-watch for any Robot Co-Op fan. GAME BIO: The Evil Within is a 2014 survival horror game developed by Tango Gameworks and directed by Shinji Mikami. Players follow detective Sebastian Castellanos as he’s pulled into a nightmarish, shifting world born from fractured minds and psychological trauma. The game emphasizes limited resources, brutal combat, and tense exploration inspired by classic Resident Evil design. Enemy encounters are punishing, encouraging stealth, traps, and careful ammunition management. Known for its grotesque imagery and oppressive tone, The Evil Within blends psychological horror with old-school survival mechanics.
