"2 SPOOKY
4 MOOKIE!"
This is it. The big one. A Deep Fear mega cut of everything hilarious, horrifying, and hydrophobic from the full Robot Co-Op playthrough! Rick, Flux, Pickles, and Cylon plunge into the abyssal depths of this Saturn-exclusive survival horror gem and discover it’s far more than just “Resident Evil underwater”—it’s Resident Evil underwater with less shame, more air tanks, and voice acting so wooden it could float.
From its crushing oxygen timers and bafflingly paced plot to a protagonist named John Mayor (yes, really) who looks like he was grown in a vat of G.I. Joe leftovers, Deep Fear is a game that keeps on giving. Giving what, exactly? Terrible lines. Cramped camera angles. Mutated sea life that looks like it’s made of wet papier-mâché. And most importantly: endless opportunities to riff.
Somehow both bleak and hysterical, this supercut is an unrelenting greatest hits collection of one of the most legendary survival horror streams in Robot Co-Op history.
Highlights include: action, suspense, terrible inventory systems, and the creeping realization that no one actually knows what the hell is going on in this game. It’s not just Deep Fear—it’s DEEP FUN.
GAME BIO: Deep Fear is a 1998 survival horror game developed by SEGA AM7 and ISCO for the Sega Saturn. Set aboard an underwater research facility after an object from space crashes into the ocean, players must manage air supply, solve puzzles, and fend off grotesque mutants in real-time. While never released in North America, it’s earned cult status for its eerie setting, unique mechanics, and gloriously awful English voice acting.
